A FEW OF MY SOLD PIECES

"Red Cliff Village' acrylic on plaster. 2003

This is from a 3x7 foot mural done in someone's rec room. The painting went well with the color of their wall which is the sky behind the mountains. It took about 2-3 visits. Customer sent a letter of appreciation (above) and a check which was in addition to what I had already asked for. They felt that the price we agreed to was too low for the work that was done.

"Small Wonders Day Care Mural''   household indoor paint 2004

"Portrait of a Dog that Wouldn't Sit Still"  oil, 1999
this was one of my first requests to be commissioned out of college. Was difficult since the neither of us had a camera and customer did not have a pic of her dog.

untitled, acrylic  2002
was commissioned by a coworker who viewed my album. First time someone besides family advised that I was charging too little.

Please do not dupicate images.. ask for prints or orginal work at affordable prices,  yes, my work has been duplicated before (was repainted after customer gave the painter a photo of my work).

The Keystone

The Keystone: finding newer ways of inserting my initials. Please revisit my site to view  the complete painting in the near future.

order original art, a mural, or prints which are much cheaper. See my contact info in the intro under my profile to get estimates.

Are you interested in murals but you may move. Consider a moveable mural which I can do on a large canvas or thin material!

I began painting on canvas in the 3rd grade after watching my mother, Bob Ross and art teachers.  I then began to enter art contests and my classmates began to ask me how I learned to draw or paint as my homeroom teacher would placed each painting on above the chalk board.

I kept painting throughout my youth and after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at Kent State University, I wished that I had majored or minored in some sort of art program. However, I was able to pick up some elective classes in drawing and sculpting. It was here that I learned the art of using rough brush strokes and line drawing and etching. While at the mall in Cleveland, someone showed me a book by Thomas Kinkaid which inspired me to add more variations of color to my landscape paintings.

After graduation co-workers began to see my work and personal orders were requested. I once sketched someone's dog which wouldn't sit still and painted the Naval ship which my neighbor was stationed on, in exchange for him replacing my timing belt on my Honda Civic-a $500 job!

In 2002-03  I enrolled and graduated from Art Instruction Schools which enhanced my drawing skills and my quality of work in painting improved.

Although I am still learning, I believe the almighty has given me a talent that I must use to glorify Him and bless your home or business. A talent should not be stored in a box or attic, but should be shared with others. I hope my work as you see it in my blog posts, Facebook, or in person, will inspire you to use your talents, or find a hidden gift. My work, if placed in your gallery, home, or office; will enhance your surroundings and spark conversation.
